Trying New Things

So today I tried Korean food.  It was tasty at first but the heartburn I experienced for hours afterwards was completely not worth it.  Be warned: “what’s the harm in trying it” is a false phrase.

Getting Used to Things

New York is a city that takes some getting used to.  It’s loud, noisy, ridiculously overcrowded, smelly, and lit up like Christmas every day and night.  It’s also completely amazing.  I figured out that instead of hating all those people (as I tend to do) you have to teach yourself to see them as opportunities to learn.  Whether they are rude or friendly, they will teach you something.  There is so much to do here, it is really true what people say.  Boredom is not a feeling experienced in this city.  So here’s my advice, if you come to New York expect nothing because anything you expect will barely encompass the reality you experience.

New York is the only city in the world where you can get deliberately run down on the sidewalk by a pedestrian.
